Does this need electricity, batteries, or a compressor?

None of the above. This is a fully manual tool — it uses mechanical force only. Load the nail, position the gun vertically against the surface, and strike the back with your hand. No power source of any kind is required.

How do I change between the 5 gears?

You adjust power by adding or removing the screws on the barrel. Gear 1 (maximum power) has all 4 screws in. Each gear you go down removes one screw. Gear 5 (minimum power) has all 4 screws removed. It takes under 30 seconds to switch.

How fast does it drive a nail?

The quick-release mechanism drives a nail in under 0.1 seconds per strike. That means a full wall of conduit clips or cable brackets that used to take an hour of drilling can be done in minutes.

What surfaces can it penetrate?

At maximum power (Gear 1), it penetrates 3mm steel plates, C30+ concrete, red brick, and marble. Lower gears handle plasterboard, soft wood, and light masonry. It is not suitable for very thick structural steel or reinforced hard rock surfaces.

Do I need to pre-drill before using it?
